Here is my review of Ronny Schreinzer’s solo album ‘Planet of Love – Nutronixx’:
Overall review:
Nutronixx is the solo project of Ronny Schreinzer, part of the German electronic pop duo ‘The Twins’, who celebrated international success in the early days of danceable synthpop with Ballet Dancer, Not The Loving Kind, Face to Face Heart to Heart, Love In The Dark, Love System and the like. The release of the album ‘Planet Of Love’ seamlessly complements their musical journey, and the first single, ‘Heart On The Run’, is a fittingly catchy tune. The album features 13 songs, available on CD and vinyl, with unique effects, beautiful melodies, driving rhythms and a wonderful ballad.
Conclusion:
A first-class album that I can only recommend. Ronny Schreinzer has created a work that is convincing and perfectly showcases his qualities as a singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist: he played all the synthesizers, drums, guitars, vocals and background choirs himself. An album like this belongs in every music collection, and it’s great that there is also a vinyl edition. The recognition value is enormous, and it’s not just The Twins fans who will love this album.

Single song reviews:
1. Planet of Love
The 4:53-minute opener from the album of the same name is a well-crafted, melodic song that immediately puts you in a good mood. The versatile voice of Ronny Schreinzer, who proves his singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist qualities with his solo project Nutronixx, carries the song in a playful way that encourages dancing or singing along. Incidentally, he recorded all the synthesizers, drums, guitars, vocals and background choirs himself.

2. Heart On The Run
Ronny Schreinzer, singer, songwriter and drummer of the legendary ‘The Twins’, has released a treat from his latest album ‘Planet of Love’ as a single under the name Nutronixx. His musical signature is unmistakable, with good rhythm, special effects, catchy melodies and an unmistakable voice. Top!

3. Love Me Or Leave Me
Love Me Or Leave Me is an uptempo song from the Nutronixx album Planet OF Love. Ronny Schreinzer (from The Twins), who as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist plays all vocals, background choirs, synthesizers, drums and guitars himself, delivers a melodious and driving synth song that showcases his emotional voice. A song to dance to and have fun with.

4. Waiting For A Miracle
Waiting For A Miracle begins very mysteriously and almost sombrely, only to then ripple along in a completely different way, poppy and light like a delicate mountain stream. Ronny Schreinzer (from The Twins) has breathed life into it, fitting it perfectly into the solo album Nutronixx ‘Planet OF Love’, with its many overlapping melodies, bouncing rhythms and a long instrumental section starting at 3:45 min. Incidentally, the singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist plays all the drums, guitars, vocals, background choirs and synthesizers himself. Well done.

5. Another Life
Another Life is a special song on the album Planet of Love that I like and therefore listen to very often. Its synth intro quickly changes into the main melody, which immediately sticks in your head. The rhythm is bouncy and features swirls and precise effects that penetrate your ears after the first listen and stay there. But what I’ve never heard before in this form is the special effect with the upstream echo in the sung lyrics – it’s creativity at its best, incredibly original. The chorus is catchy and immediately encourages you to sing along, especially as Ronny Schreiner’s (The Twins) voice is unmistakable and radiates good humour. Ronny, alias Nutronixx, is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who plays all the synthesizers, drums, guitars, vocals and background choirs himself. Hats off to him!

6. Storm In My Heart
Ronny Schreinzer, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist of the synth pop duo ‘The Twins’, has written a beautiful ballad here that fully deserves its length of 6:19 minutes. The rhythm, melody, vocals and background are so seamless that you could listen to it forever. The crescendo is perfectly executed with the instrumental section that begins at 3:45 minutes, allowing your thoughts to wander into the distance. At 5:10 minutes, it is recorded again and fades out gently and slowly. Incidentally, all synthesizers, drums, guitars, vocals and background choirs were recorded by him on Nutronixx’s Planet Of Love album. Majestically good.

7. Mad In Love
Mad In Love is a rousing song right from the start, with the joy of cool melodies, relaxed rhythms, synth sounds and pithy lyrics written all over it. The variety in this song is a creative tour de force of a special kind, as playful melodies with driving, sometimes tight passages alternate with dramatic brass and an instrumental section that introduces a crescendo in the chorus. A special effect with the vocally delayed “Mad in Love* part at the end rounds off the song, in which Ronny Schreinzer (voice of The Twins) played all the drums, synthesizers, guitars, vocals and background choirs himself in his solo project Nutronixx as singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Good vibes guaranteed.

8. Wish We Were Lovers
This song from the Nutronixx album ‘Planet of Love’ can be described as a classic earworm. Right from the start, the main melody takes the lead and begins like the launch of a rocket, complete with drum rolls and synth riffs. The driving rhythm and overlapping melodies and vocal passages invite you to join in, no matter where you are in the song. The multi-layered vocals of Ronny Schreinzer (from The Twins), who, as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, plays all the vocals, background choirs, synthesizers, drums and guitars himself, give the song a special depth that comes into its own in this melodious and driving synth song with its various emotional passages. That’s why it’s not undeservedly planned as the second single.

9. Resurrection
Resurrection is one of my favourite songs on the Nutronixx album Planet Of Love. It radiates good vibes, has a great, driving rhythm and a bass line that is unique in itself. The multi-layered overlapping melodies harmonise beautifully with the vocals, making you want to soak up every part. The chorus is harmonious, builds steadily and invites you to sing along, without pause, of course. The instrumental phase from 3:10 onwards skilfully picks up the main melody and lets it ride like waves before continuing with momentum and ending with a final climax. Incidentally, Ronny Schreinzer (from The Twins), as singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, plays all the vocals, synthesizers, drums, guitars and background choirs himself. Top

10. The Return 2.0
The Return 2.0 is a successful remake of the 5:23 minute instrumental track ‘The Return’, which was released on the B-side of the 1986 project Hypersonic ‘Magic Fly ’86’ (12″). Ronny Schreinzer, singer and drummer with The Twins, is also a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who plays all the synthesizers, drums and guitars himself on his solo project Nutronixx. With this song, he fulfils a frequently expressed wish of his worldwide fan base for a remix of the album ‘Planet Of Love’. A remix that fully deserves its name 2.0, especially as new passages have been skilfully combined and expanded with the former main melody. Ingenious and timeless.

11. Miss Coraline
If you love synth pop and The Twins, you can’t ignore this song. The rhythm alone is so driving that, together with the bassline, keyboard riffs and overlapping melodies, it hits you right in the heart. Ronny Schreinzer’s sensitive voice rounds off this song to perfection, with special effects and a clever chorus making it a catchy tune that fuels longing, allowing only a brief instrumental passage in the middle of the song to give your emotions a moment’s respite. The crescendo towards the end of the song is gently cushioned by a fading section. The fact that Ronny Schreinzer (singer/drummer of The Twins), as singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, plays all the vocals, background choirs, synthesizers, drums and guitars himself is unique. Admirable.

12. World On Fire
A straightforward song on the Nutronixx album ‘Planet Of Love’, which Ronny Schreinzer (from The Twins) sings with great emotion, alternating beautiful melodies and a driving rhythm to round it off into an above-average synth song. It’s simply fun to listen to this album with its multifaceted and innovative songs over and over again. Ronny, as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, plays all the vocals, background choirs, synthesizers, drums and guitars himself. This is how synth pop sounds straightforward and with hit potential.

13. It Was Only Yesterday
If you could give a pop ballad more than 6 out of 6 points, you’d have to do it here. What Ronny Schreinzer, singer and drummer of The Twins, delivers here as the closing song of the album ‘Planet Of Love’ is phenomenal and gives the listener goosebumps, especially in the instrumental part. That’s how it was and still is for me. But let’s start at the beginning: the song begins with a solo drum rhythm, which is soon joined by string sequences and quietly but deliberately builds up. Then Ronny’s fine voice does its part, capturing all the emotions, sometimes dramatic, sometimes a little sad, but always confident and positive. The chorus captivates you and the piano instrumental part from 3:00 onwards lets your feelings run wild until an abrupt-seeming conclusion. But then, the song is reborn, like a rebirth, an endless journey begins and an anthem with ever-changing elements contributes to an epic conclusion from 06:00 onwards that you have to hear for yourself.
Incidentally, on the entire Nutronixx album ‘Planet Of Love’, Ronny Schreinzer plays all the vocals, background choirs, synthesizers, drums and guitars himself as singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. The man has enormous talent, thank you for your music.
